BoatLife supports The Firefighters Charity for 2024 show
This partnership between BoatLife and Suzuki, aligned with The Firefighters Charity's mission to support and enhance the lives of service-based individuals, signifies a major step in the marine industry's commitment to community support and water safety. The Firefighters Charity, with deep-rooted connections to the marine industry, is also recognised for its work in water safety with the Be Water Aware campaign. This partnership with BoatLife will create a powerful platform to share positive messages regarding water safety and its crucial role in saving lives.
Each year the Fire Fighters Charity provides outstanding support to both serving and retired fire and rescue service personnel, as well as their dependants and other eligible members within the UK fire services community. Its mission is to provide specialised health and well-being resources and support, promoting a healthier and happier UK fire services community. The charity utilises a combination of digital services and face-to-face programs within its three centres and communities, ensuring tailored support to meet individual needs.
Louise Furneaux, Community Fundraiser at The Fire Fighters Charity, expressed her excitement:
Richard Dove, Managing Director of BoatLife Events Ltd, explained their motivation for selecting The Firefighters Charity, "This charity is well-supported by several friends in the marine industry, including show ambassador Will Parkinson and our headline sponsor, Suzuki. It was crucial for us to support a cause that resonates so strongly with our community. And yes, you can expect to see a fire engine at the show which will delight the children."
Every ticket purchased for BoatLife will have a donation option, and the team will be working closely with the charity to create engaging show features– both at the pool and on the stage.
